D&K Duo have developed a cabaret which takes you on their musical journey, as well as exploring how having a disability shows that you can definitely make a positive difference to our world.
Dave and Kate share their journey together, and Dave describes how society’s perceptions on people with intellectual disabilities have impacted on his mental health and how he has come to a place where he just ‘doesn’t’ give a damn’ about what people think of him if they can’t see past his disability. Join us for musical evening of singing, jokes, laughter and a heartwarming story.
The cabaret comprises of a mixture of original songs and favourite covers. The format of the cabaret is in a quasi-interview style, with Kate and Dave asking questions of each other, and answering through both monologues and song.
